Welcome to our Facial Glossary, your guide to the techniques and treatments that make each of our custom facials unique. Here, you’ll find simple descriptions of the modalities I use so you can see how each one works to support your skin’s health.

Facial Modality Glossary

Sculpting Facial Massage
Using a combination of gua sha, facial cupping, and hands-on facial massage techniques, we promote lymphatic drainage, boost circulation, and tone facial muscles, helping to sculpt and lift the face. By encouraging better lymph flow, we promote detoxification and a clearer, more radiant complexion.

Intra-Oral Buccal Massage
By incorporating massage inside the mouth, this treatment achieves deeper contouring of the cheeks and jawline, releases stored tension, and promotes profound relaxation. Ideal for those seeking advanced sculpting and stress relief, it also helps ease TMJ discomfort and relieve tension in the jaw and lower face.

CO₂LIFT Treatment
A nourishing treatment for both skin and spirit with no downtime. This mask works with your body’s natural processes using a CO₂-infused gel to increase hydration by up to 117%, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and improve skin firmness and radiance. While the mask works its magic, you’ll enjoy a 45-minute hand, arm, shoulder, neck, and scalp massage that enhances relaxation and promotes overall wellbeing.

Nano Infusion
Nano infusion is a non-invasive treatment that gently creates thousands of micro-channels in the skin, allowing targeted serums to penetrate deeply to address your top skin concerns. Unlike traditional microneedling, there are no needles involved; instead, a gentle vibration is used that feels light and comfortable with no downtime or irritation.

This treatment is ideal for those concerned with fine lines and wrinkles, dry or dull skin, uneven tone or texture, congested pores, or loss of firmness.

Dermaplaning
A sterile surgical-grade blade is then used to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface. Held at a precise angle, the blade carefully removes dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, commonly known as "peach fuzz," revealing a smoother complexion and enhancing the absorption of skincare products.

LED Light Therapy
Promote collagen and elastin production, reduce redness and inflammation, and improve overall skin health with Celluma LED Light Therapy, a fully FDA‑cleared medical-grade device used in professional and clinical settings. Red light penetrates deeper to stimulate collagen and elastin, reduce fine lines, improve circulation, and calm inflammation, while blue light targets the surface to help reduce acne-causing bacteria, minimize breakouts, and balance oil production.

Gua Sha
Gua sha is a time-honored facial technique rooted in traditional East Asian practices, revered for its ability to visibly improve circulation and reduce muscle tension. The gentle scraping motion increases microcirculation beneath the skin’s surface, which can support healthier tissue function, promote lymphatic flow, and help reduce puffiness. Consistent gua sha work can also soften facial adhesions, and improve mobility in tense muscles.

Facial Cupping
Facial cupping uses soft silicone cups to create gentle, controlled suction that lifts the skin and underlying tissues. This technique has been shown to increase local blood flow, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and support the skin’s natural detoxification processes. The result is a brighter, more refreshed complexion with improved tone and softness. Facial cupping can also help release stagnant tension in the facial muscles and encourage collagen-friendly circulation.
